Can a dumpster go on an Ector County road?

We could not find a published Ector County rule for roll-off dumpsters on county roads or in the county right-of-way. Before you place a bin there, call the Ector County offices. Setting the roll-off on your own lot, well back from the county road, sidesteps the question and keeps it out of traffic.

Inside Odessa city limits, city code covers streets and alleys instead. The Odessa dumpster permit guide lists the sections we found. For a rented Ector County lot, get the landowner's OK on the spot too.

Which size fits a rural Ector County job?

Most rural Ector County cleanouts fit a 15 or 20-yard dumpster. A large shop or barn tear-out full of bulky, light debris may need the 40-yard, which includes 5 tons. Caliche, dirt and old concrete pads go only in a 10 or 15-yard dumpster, loaded halfway up the walls because of highway weight limits.

After a hail storm, size the tear-off by squares and layers on the roofing dumpster page. Clean-fill rules for heavy loads are on concrete and dirt dumpsters.

What goes where in Ector County?

Keep Odessa Beautiful is the main drop-off we could verify in Ector County. It handles household hazardous waste, bulk items and recycling at 814 W. 42nd St. Its free mattress and couch drop-off is for City of Odessa residents, so county residents should call 432-335-4686 before loading a trailer.

Ector County dumpster rental questions

Do you deliver to the small Ector County towns outside Odessa?

We deliver to every Ector County town in the ZIP list on this page, plus the rural addresses around them. Give us the street address or a map pin, plus directions from the nearest highway, such as Hwy 191 or I-20. The truck needs a firm, straight path to the drop spot. A locked gate or a blocked spot on delivery day brings the $125 trip fee.

Can I use the Keep Odessa Beautiful drop-off if I live outside Odessa city limits?

KOSA reported in December 2025 that mattresses and couches go free at the city drop-off for City of Odessa residents. We could not confirm the rules for county residents. Phone the facility at 432-335-4686 before you load a trailer. A roll-off on your own lot is the other route for a big cleanout.

Can I get a 40-yard dumpster for a big Ector County shop or barn cleanout?

The 40-yard dumpster measures about 22 × 7.5 × 8 feet outside and includes 5 tons for 7 days. It suits bulky, light debris from a large shop, barn or building tear-out on a rural lot. The truck needs a long, firm approach, so send a map pin. Caliche, dirt and concrete never go in it. See the 40-yard dumpster.

What size dumpster do I need for a hail-damaged roof in Ector County?

Most Ector County roof tear-offs fit our 20-yard dumpster, which includes 3 tons. Shingles are heavy, so a large roof or a second layer can pass that weight before the bin looks full. Count your squares and layers first. Overage is $75 per ton, billed by the exact pound, as the weight billing guide shows.
